Privacy policy

What we keep

We keep the files you upload. When you order, we keep your name, e-mail address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses and, if you give one, your VAT number. We also keep the e-mails we send you.

For a business account we keep the name and e-mail address of each person who may order on it, and their personal identity number if the business has given it. The business gives us these details.

Why we keep it

We use the data to print, deliver and charge for your order, and to answer you when you contact us. We need it to carry out our agreement with you, and without it we cannot complete your purchase. Swedish accounting law also requires us to keep the details of the purchase.

We keep a list of the people who may order on a business account, so that only those the business has chosen can do so. We keep the e-mails we have sent so that we can give good service. We do both on the basis of our legitimate interest.

Who else gets it

We share your data only with those who help us run Metervis, and with authorities when the law requires it:

• Stripe, which takes card payments. We never see your card number.
• Mailgun, which sends our e-mail from servers in the EU.
• Google Workspace, which holds our e-mail.
• Fortnox, where we invoice businesses and keep our accounts.
• Our accountant, who helps us with our accounts.
• The EU's VIES service and Norway's business register, where we check VAT numbers.
• The carrier that delivers your parcel.
• Anthropic, when we use its AI service, Claude, in our work.

Your files and our database are on our own servers. Some of the companies above, such as Stripe, Google and Anthropic, may handle data outside the EU. When they do, they rely on the EU's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Write to info@metervis.se if you would like a copy of the clauses.

How long we keep it

• A basket that does not become an order is deleted 48 hours after your last visit, together with its files and the details you gave at checkout. If you are logged in to a business account, it is deleted only once you are no longer logged in.
• We keep the files you uploaded for an order until our storage is full, then delete the oldest first. If you want us to delete your files sooner, write to info@metervis.se.
• We keep the details of an order, with a low-resolution picture of the sheet, for at least seven years after the year you ordered, as Swedish accounting law requires. We keep the e-mails we send for the same period.
• We keep the details of a person who may order on a business account for as long as they are on the account's list. We keep a record of who was added to the list or removed from it for as long as we keep orders.
• Our backups are kept for up to a year, so anything we delete is gone from them within a year.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: to remember your basket, your language, your delivery country, your currency and your login. We do not use cookies for statistics or advertising.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you and to get a copy of it, to have mistakes corrected, and to have data we no longer need deleted. You can also object to how we use your data, ask us to limit how we use it, or ask for it in a file you can take elsewhere. Write to info@metervis.se and we will answer within a month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.
